The Interior Ministry of Pakistan extends the deadline for SIM re-verification through BVS once again. Now the new deadline is till 15th May, 2015, SimsPK confirmed the news with its sources in PTA. The decision was made in a meeting arranged by Minister Interior of Pakistan, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
According to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, a white-list is made that contains approximately 11 million SIMs for which the deadline of SIM re-verification has been extended till May 15th, 2015. As per the regulators, white-list contains those numbers that are mostly comprised of one SIM per CNIC. We also reported that 26 Million SIMs Blocked After the Re-Verification Period Ended while around 11 million SIMs were left for verification on 12th April, 2015. After the new deadline, the numbers included in this list will be blocked, as said by PTA.
PTA and Interior Ministry previously reported that Deadline for UN-Verified SIMs Blocking Extended till 12th April, 2015. Now it is very difficult to deduce the reasons that why a solid deadline is extended again. Stay connected for further inside updates.
